I started with the last picture first to give you a chance to opt out of looking at the later pictures if you are sensitive to pictures of injuries.
It was about 4:15am, it was pitch black, I was sound asleep. I was suddenly awakened by a shaky, mournful, heaving sob. I turned on the light to find my 10 yr old standing next to my bed bleeding on the floor from his eyebrow. It was like a red waterfall and at first glance I wasn’t sure if he still had his right eye. Can you imagine? I was trying to decide if I was actually awake but I almost never have nightmares.
My son had slept in his upper bunk bed for a long time and the ceiling is so low we didn’t have a guard rail on it. There hadn’t been any problem until he rolled off that night and caught his night stand with his brow.
I told him to go to the bathroom and rinsed him off enough to see that his eye wasn’t effected. What a great time to know Reiki, it was an instant aid to his pain and stopped the bleeding in under a minute.
Once the bleeding stopped I had him hold a cloth on it and went for my oils. Its great to be stocked with a good assortment so I have just the right thing when I need it. I got my Frankincense and Lavender and applied both on his forehead and around the orbit of his eye. Here’s the pic from while we were making the decision of whether or not he would need stitching.
He was calm and letting me look at it. I couldn’t see how deep it was so I decided to get him looked at. We got dressed and headed to the ER at 4:30am. When the plastic surgeon on duty looked at him, he said stitches for sure. He got 1 stitch on the inside and 6 on the outside. The male nurses were so impressed with how calm and confident Harley was through the whole thing. They said they had seen many big men act like babies when getting less done than he did, he got a lot of high 5s!
I know that the Frankincense, Lavender and Reiki all served to help him heal, be calm and be pain free very quickly. The surgeon said that Harley would have a big black eye for quite a while. We were out of the ER by 5:20am and home and back to sleep before 6. I had enough time to get some more sleep before getting up for work and I decided to keep Harley home from school despite the fact that he wanted to go.
This pic is 12 hrs after the injury in the afternoon. You can definitely see where he hit but its much less purple and swollen than I would have expected. I applied Frankincense and Lavender liberally around his eye several times during the day and since Harley does Reiki himself, he was able to self administer while I was at work.
The following pic is the next day, still a little swollen on top, his eye was closed but not swollen that way. Very little purple on the lower lid and no swelling or redness around the suture.
For only one day later I was very impressed!
I wondered how well he would be healed by the time his school pictures would be taken.
This was the 5th day, after the stitches were removed. Other than a small scab line, it was well healed and no purple. The first picture at the top of the page is the one week mark, barely any pink and almost all discoloration gone. We had continued during the week to apply Frankincense and Lavender and while he was home I did put Animal Scents ointment directly on his stitches.
As you can see, his scar is barely perceptible.
By the time his school concert came around no one would have guessed he’d been injured. God’s gifts of healing energy and tools are beyond belief and into knowing for me. I have the knowledge and experience that I can address whatever comes our way, hand in hand with God and these blessings! Harley’s healing began immediately after his injury happened when he put his own hand over his eye, I know he’s grateful that I’ve educated myself to be the best Mom for him that I can and that I have shared my tools with him.
